Don and Robert run a number of RYA Practical courses.

We anticipate family cruises and men’s groups in 2010

Due to the disruption on Seil resulting from the new sewage project there were fewer theory courses than in recent years.  However residential intensive  shorebased RYA course continue to be offered the winter months. These can be over 5 continuous days or spread over three weekends

Pre exam courses for yacht masters continue to be successful.

First aid, and  VHF/ DSC  courses have proved popular and enjoyable.

2 Week Hebridean Cruise

2009 was a busy year for Westward Quest .  Weaver our Moody 42 Ketch and Alcuin  were involved with youth cruises for schools and the Stramash outdoor activities programme for children during the school holidays .

It was a privilege to take a group of young men from Teen challenge base at the Haven in Renfrewshire on a weeks cruise around The Islands of the Sea of Hebrides. Celtic Way cruises have become a feature of the programme.
